• The ugly face of Open Source - April 2005
  This is a commented log of an IRC session on freenode#gnu dated Apr 26 2005. It continues an analisys we made by the end of 2001. Our article was published on the POSSE magazine (ISBN: 88-7285-260-9) with the title "Free software and free awareness - trip at the end of the free software ocean" (translated from Italian, the original language). • GPLflash licensing - April 2005
  This is a mail I sent on gplflash development list about relicensing the code as LGPL. This is not new. The PHP guys with a complete rewrite of the code ended up using a PHP License instead of the original GPL. In this case the author of the rewrite (Christophe Choquet) is enforcing use of LGPL. It is interesting to note that Chris mail announcing the rewrite was posted in a thread about getting FSF support on gplflash development. Here is an article of Richard Stallman about why you shouldn't use the LGPL for your next library.
