His skills shortly include: programming with C, C++, Perl, PHP, Shell, ECMAScript; system administration (Un*X like); architecture, design and deployment of data storage management systems; networking (TCP/IP Client-Server system development). Since 1997 he's actively involved in GIS and Flash research and development: - From 1997 to 2003 worked in the flash/gis R&D department [1] of the Italian Palomar New Media [2]. - From 2003 to 2006 maintained two free software GIS packages (GEOS [3] and PostGIS [4]) for the Canadian Refractions Research [5]. - Contributes since 2003 to the development of SWF output library Ming [6]. - From 2006 he's a core developer of the GNU Flash Player [7]. - In 2009-2010 he worked as a consultant in the the European Commission's Joint Research Center [8] - Between 2012 and 2014 he's been working for Vizzuality on their CartoDB platform [9]. - From 2017 to 2020 he's been a contractor for Land Information New Zealand [10], maintaining and developing a PostgreSQL/PostGIS data processing product. - From 2020 he works as a consultant for the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) [11] implementing a PostGIS Topology based system for management of national wide dataset as presented in FOSS4G 2022.
